JIMMY McANALLY

SILENT KEY
He will be missed by all he has had contact with

JIMMY McANALLY WAS ONE OF OUR CLOSEST FRIEND AND HAM BUDDIES I HAVE EVER KNOWN. AT ABOUT 3:46 PM 12 Nov 2003  HE PASSED FROM THIS LIFE AFTER BEING UNHOOKED FROM LIFE SUPPORT RESPIRATOR AT SCOTT & WHITE HOSPITAL IN TEMPLE TEXAS. MAY GOD BLESS HIS FAMILY AND WATCH OVER THEM.

Jim was retired Military, Served as a Lampasas Police Officer, and a Police Officer at Temple VA .HE WAS A VERY ACTIVE AMATEUR RADIO OPERATOR (HAM) AND LOVED THE HOBBY TO THE FULLEST. He has helped HAMS both young and old and dedicated his time in promoting Ham radio operators.

HE WILL BE MISS SO VERY MUCH BY HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. HE IS NO PAIN AND IS IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE THAN THIS LIFE COULD OFFER. I FEEL HE IS WITH THE LORD BECAUSE HE WAS A BELIEVER.

May God Rest His Soul and Take care of his family

Tommie Taylor & Harold Bates

Jim McAnally, KE5DG was a very special person, and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He cared for everyone around him, and gave his time and effort whenever he possibly could.

In the short time that I really got to know him, the best memories I have were at the recent Lometa JOTA event the Central Texas Storm Spotters organization held for the Scouts in Lampasas County. He was smiling and having fun, doing what he loved to do best. He was one of us, enjoying Amateur Radio to the fullest and helping others to learn and understand more about our hobby, and was just being the person he was, kind and helpful.

As I am sure most of us are, at this time I am having a very difficult time dealing with his passing. But as Harold Bates pointed out, Jim is in a better place now and in no pain whatsoever.

God bless you and your family, Jim. We will certainly miss you, and we look forward to see your smiling face in Heaven.
